By earning the Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA) credential, the first level of certification in the CWNP Program, network experts and administrators demonstrate that they have the skills necessary to administer, install, configure, and troubleshoot wireless network systems.

This course will prepare participants to successfully pass the CWNA certification exam #PW0-100 to become a Certified Wireless Network Associate (CWNA).

    Frequency Hopping & Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum, and how they are implemented in wireless LANs
  • Wireless LAN Infrastructure Devices
    Introduction to all the types of wireless LAN hardware you will encounter as a wireless LAN administrator
  • Antennas and Accessories
    Antennas, RF Amplifiers, RF Attenuators, Lightning Arrestors, RF Connectors, RF Cables, RF Splitters, Pigtails
  • Wireless LAN Organizations and Standards
    The roles of the IEEE and FCC, the IEEE 802.11 family of standards, and other emerging technologies and standards
  • The 802.11 Network Architecture
    Client connection process to an access point, wireless LANs terms, and power management
  • Physical and MAC Layers
    How wireless LAN stations communicate with one another, and wireless LAN collision handling
  • Troubleshooting Wireless LANs
    Common obstacles to successful implementation of a wireless LAN, and how to troubleshoot them
  • Wireless LAN Security
